They are fresh water, so no coral or reefs.
They definitely need a proper tank. Goldfish are extremely messy fish and will end up poisoning themselves from their own waste faster than you can perform water changes. A healthy and happy properlly cared for goldfish can live decades, not years. A bowl is a slow and very early death, they can survive but will not thrive.
As for feeding, goldfish will eat them selves to death, it's a common thing for them. They will eat every hour on the hour if you would keep offering the food. How ever, it's really best to borderline underfeed them. Every other day, a pinch of goldfish food. You can supplement with fruits and veggies like peas and oranges. I personally am more a fan of pellets, crumbles or crisps rather than flakes. Flaks powder and disolve, creating excess waste. The other forms are compressed and usually swallowed whole, leaving a much cleaner tank. But these can still be over fed. Goldies don;t have a stomach like we do, and gulping in lots of air and over eating leads to bloat, the erratic swimming people often see, and can be deadly.
B/c the goldies you are looking at have such bizarre eyes, they do have slightlytlly more delicate needs. They are hampered with the big belly, long fins and extended eyes, so too powerful of a water flow can throw them around and stress them. If you can block or obstruct it in some way they'll be much happier. On the other hand, getting as much filtration into a golfishes home as you can (with in reason of course) wil dramatically help their water quality and quality of life.
Best of Luck!
