Telescope Buying Guide

I got a telescope for Christmas and was wondering if there are any good sites near Perth, where I can the avoid the light pollution to get a good clear view of the sky preferably something easily accessible, as I don’t fancy carrying the telescope to the top of a mountain.

I live in the UK and have a meade EX90. I love my telescope but live 15 miles away from a city and its very light polluted, I have used a couple of filters but I was wondering if anyone would recommend a light pollution filter. I do want to eventually want to work my way up to get a 8- 10 inch meade but I do feel will still have light pollution problems with a bigger telescope. Can anyone recommend anything?

My club is really interested in getting a telescope. It would be good to add in the costs in US$ as well as other accessories needed and the specifications of the telescope suggested. Thanks! My country has quite bad light pollution.
