Telescope Buying Guide

I have a Galileo FS-135DX Reflector and I want some new lenses. I have two lenses, galileo astroscopic 25mm and then a zoom lense that says F6.8mm and F16mm. This is like jiberish to me but i’ve been able to just put the lenses on the telescope and see the moon really close. I can see the craters and the beautiful surface. But i’d like to be able to see much more. If theres any other lenses anyone could suggest, I’d love to hear about them!

My 7 year old is obsessed with the universe and all it contains. I would love to buy her a telescope for Christmas that will enable her to see stars and whatever else is up there. I’ve looked on ebay but have not got a clue what to look out for. Is there anyone experienced out there who can give me a little advice?

A couple of years ago my husband said he heard about a telescope that comes with software you can load on your computer where you can leave your telescope set up outside and see the view from your home PC indoors. Does such a thing really exist or did I misunderstand him? I’d love to get him a telescope for Christmas this year. I don’t want to buy him something amatuer and lame.

I live in the UK and have a meade EX90. I love my telescope but live 15 miles away from a city and its very light polluted, I have used a couple of filters but I was wondering if anyone would recommend a light pollution filter. I do want to eventually want to work my way up to get a 8- 10 inch meade but I do feel will still have light pollution problems with a bigger telescope. Can anyone recommend anything?
