I have been reading about radio telescopes and I noticed one thing in common for most is that they have a lack of funds to pay for them, or maintain them. Why dont they offer to send 1000 words of a customer across the universe for say, $20.00 on a web site. People would flock to it because it would travel for ever virtually. Its a nice way to raise money for a important scientific discovery. Science needs money, 1000 words would transmit in a few seconds.
