Gary C asked: If I see Saturn right now but I want to see it even CLOSER, what do i need to look for in a reflector telescope? Is magnification solely based on eyepieces or something else?
If I understand correct, the bigger the scope (aperture), the more light it gathers, the clearer the picture. The higher the magnification from certain eyepieces, the less detailed the picture looks? So, the bigger the aperture of the telescope, the smaller the eyepieces I can get in order to see closer and closer and closer?

TheOriginalSara asked: Whatever I see through the finderscope is not what the telescope sees

It seems to be some distance off because after searching for a while through the eyepiece I see the object not far off from where the finderscope thought it was, but it takes a very long time and is very inconvenient.
It’s a reflector telescope. If anyone knows how to fix this please explain in simple language

thanks!

DarkMatt14 asked: I’ve looked at a lot of telescopes, and lowered my options down to two, the Orion SkyQuest XT6 Classic Dobsonian Telescope, and the Orion StarBlast 6 Astro Reflector Telescope. They have the same price only the starblast is a “best seller”. I’m only a beginner in astronomy and this is my first telescope well… second but i returned the first because it was a horrible telescope…

whitney asked: When I try to look through the telescope, it can only focus on close objects (as in a foot away). Objects that are further away are always blurry. I`ve tried different magnifications and adjusting the focus. Does anyone know how to correct this?

water_skipper asked:
Would a FLIR camera work on a reflector telescope? I saw on Youtube that a metal mirror works just fine with far infrared. Does that mean it would work on a reflecting telescope? Would it be able to see the stars, or would the atmosphere block it?

I need info on the catadioptric telescope for science. I have read multiple articles and I am still unable to understand the difference between a reflector telescope and a catadioptric. I would like to know how it works as well as any other information anyone may have.
Thanks!
