I have a 900mm reflector telescope with a manual powered mount, and would like to get into basic astrophotography. Should I just bring my telescope into the camera store and ask, or is it a bit more involved to get the right gear? Where should I go?

I have read that the declination setting circle on an equatorial mount for a telescope should be factory set and not move. On my telescope mount i have noticed that the declination setting circle does move so is there a way to reset it. It has no way to lock the circle it just turns freely.
