Mazhar H asked:
Can I see pluto from a telescope like we see monn from earth? Now you will ask which type of telescope. So, which is good means above fine which is mostly affordable, pricing between $250 USD to $300 USD. I do not have any information about telescopes, I have never seen them in my life. But I am interesting in buying one and want to know that how far can I explore? Can I see stars from closer? Can I see planets? etc…

One in a million asked: My boyfriend has wanted a telescope for years, and I think it would be the perfect birthday presents- however, most of the ones I have looked at are several 100 dollars, and I have no experience with telescopes, so finding an inexpensive one of good quality would be hard for me.
Do you know where I can find one?
[I would prefer to spend 100-200 dollars]

I’ve never tried using binoculars or telescopes outside during winter when our temperature reaches as low as 50 below F with with chills 70+ below. I plan on getting a telescope this summer and I wonder if I can take it out during winter? Thanks.

How powerful are today’s telescopes? Can we see the face of an astronaut in ISS from earth? Can we see Armstrong’s footprint on the moon from any best telescope in the world? What is the farthest object a telescope can see?

ant asked: I’m a novice astronomer. I’ve only recently started out when I got a smallish Scope for Christmas. Can anyone guide me on the best Telescope you can buy? I’m looking for something that will interact with my Laptop, and ofcourse Software. I’m thinking it will probably me motorised, but gosh I’ve looked at catalogues, and it get’s more confusing the more I look at it. Any tips from Home Astronomers serious about the game would be much appreciated.
Also, If I wanted to build an observatory on my property, do I need a licence or permit to do this?
Many thanks
Many thanks to everyone for your answers.
I know it’s a very broad question, I just thought I’d ask people with personal experiences, which telescopes ended up being best in their opinion.
Thank you Eri and injanier, I will check out thos sites, and I will do my best to find what’s right for me.
Thanks again

Can you go blind looking at a full moon through a telescope? Are there any telescopes in the world that are big enough to blind a person looking at a full moon? Even with my 7×50 binocculars the full moon seems pretty bright.

Why aren’t the images of stars in color (blue or orange)? Is it because of the telescope? Or are most telescopes unable to show color images?
