What is the telescope/probe/satellite that is flying out of the galaxy? I know that the Hubble only goes around earth, but i believe there is one that is flying outward.

  1. The Abstract and the Arbitrary Says:

None are leaving the galaxy anytime soon. (Our galaxy is HUGE compared to how fast our probes can go). Voyager 1, Voyager 2, Pioneer 10, and Pioneer 11 are “escaping the solar system,” and it is probably one of them that you heard about.

  2. Joe D Says:

Voyager one and Two, and Pioneer ten and Pioneer Eleven.

I dont think they voyager and pioneer will actually fly out of the galaxy. They were built to last, and they will most likely last 20-40 years more.

  5. Darrell Says:

Voyager 1 and 2 are heading out of the solar system, one of them took a photo of the earth sometime back and was just a speck of light . They may not make it out of the galaxy tho, it’s a long way before they can gather energy from another star. So they may not even make it to the next sun which is light years away.
