All the planets except Neptune are visible with the naked eye, although Uranus requires a very dark sky. Mars is currently visible all night, and Saturn after midnight. The others are currently too close to the Sun to be readily observed. Geoff G

There are 5 planets visible without a telescope, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn (6 if you include Uranus for those with sharp eyes!). All of them move within 7 degrees of the ecliptic. This tells you something about of the orientation of the planet orbit planes with respect to the ecliptic Norcom21

to see other orbital bodies you can use your camera. take pictures at sun rise, and again at sunset. take photos of the sun also at sunrise, and sunset to view other spheres you may not see with telescopes. this will also let you view ir bodies in space.
